Experience

Prior to joining Rapport Taxation Services in 2000, Stephen pursued a varied international career in Management. After completing an Auditing cadetship with KPMG Peat Marwick, Stephen ventured overseas. He worked in hotel and restaurant management in Japan before completing a Post Graduate Diploma in Hotel Management in Switzerland.

After further work in Europe, Stephen returned to Japan and then Australia to work as a restaurant manager and Liquor Licensee.Later Stephen became Financial Controller of a food manufacturer. He bought and sold a large Skincare company, purchased a holiday resort and established an international software company. 

Stephen is also an owner of a growing school tutoring institute. Stephen continues his external business interests and works part-time for Rapport. His experience in business adds depth to the advice he now provides.

Janni Ngan

Experience

Janni has had extensive corporate experience both in management and taxation. She has always had a preference for taxation and client contact so, in 2006, Janni joined Rapport Tax.

Since that time Janni has gained extensive experience with individual taxation and has also been responsible for wealth accumulation entities including Trusts, Companies and Superannuation Funds.

She is also the practice expert in the complex area of deceased estates. Her wide language skills make her especially well placed to handle issues facing the Chinese community in dealing with the complexity of the Australian regulatory system.

Margaret Winney is Rapport Taxation Services’ office manager and leads a capable team. She has been our office manager for more than 11 years after several years in the banking industry (both retail and wholesale). Over this time Margaret has built up a rapport with our clients as well as leading a capable team of administration staff.
